Locally grown and cultivated in the highlands of Bukidnon, our adlai is of “Tapuy” variety which provides a soft chewy, mildly sweet, and earthy flavor somewhat similar to the regular white rice. Adlai, also known as Job’s tear, is a high fiber, low glycemic, gluten-free grain. Best for people who want to lower their cholesterol and blood sugar.
How to use:
A healthy gluten-free alternative for dieters who loves white rice and pasta. Rinse grains and boil 1 cup of adlai to 2 cups of water. Adjust water volume for grain density prefernce. Add more liquid for softer texture.
